Workshops and Learning
Mayor's Parlour
Unfortunately this workshop has been cancelled, due to illness (unrelated to Covid-19). We apologise for any inconvenience. All bookers have been contacted for a full refund. We are hoping to reschedule this workshop to a later date. If you have any questions, please email info@shoreditchtownhall.com or call 020 7739 6176
Ever wanted to make your own podcast but haven’t the foggiest where to start? Award-nominated broadcast journalist, podcast producer, and presenter Cherise Hamilton-Stephenson is here to get you started.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn what tools you need to form, produce and execute your own podcast. As well as an overview of the podcasting industry, you’ll also learn how to monetize podcasts and the potential career paths it could lead too.
Please bring a smartphone or tablet with you to the workshop as podcasts will be used creating the free app Anchor. If you do not have a smartphone or tablet please let us know beforehand by emailing info@shoreditchtownhall.com or by calling 020 7739 6176

Scholarships
We have 5 paid for scholarship spaces available for this workshop for young people living in Hackney. If you would like to apply please email info@shoreditchtownhall.com with your name, age, the workshop you would like to attend, and two things you are hoping you will learn from attending the workshop.
Supported by Hackney Council’s Discover Young Hackney programme
We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone in the building. Whilst at the Town Hall you must abide by all Covid-19 Safety Measures in place, which you can find here.
All workshop participants will need to produce evidence of a negative lateral flow test on the day of the workshop, taken within 24 hours. You can find out more information here.
In the event of a tighter lockdown in October, we have made contingency plans to move the (RE)Connect workshops online. Before booking a place, participants should ensure that they would have stable internet access and a space in which to work, should that eventuality arise, as refunds cannot be given resulting from a change in the teaching delivery method.
