A Dance Down Memory Lane is back! Dust off your dancing shoes and relive those Tea Dance memories in the beautiful surroundings of our Council Chamber.
Part of Hackney Dementia Festival, this special tea dance is curated specifically for people in our community living with dementia.
Join us for a beginners’ dance class which will cover the basics of a range of styles from the foxtrot and the quickstep to swing and Latin American, all led by former World Latin American Dance Champion, Raymond Root. Then we'll get the tea dance going with music from the aptly-named Super Sarah to get you into the swing of things in no time!
To book a place, please email info@shoreditchtownhall.com or call 020 7739 6176.
We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone in the building. This event will operate with a coloured wristband system whereby participants can indicate whether they feel comfortable dancing with others or wish to only dance with one partner. Whilst at the Town Hall you must abide by all Covid-19 Safety Measures in place, which you can find here.
