Looking for a grand Victorian setting for your wedding? We’re available to host your big day, and here’s why you should get in touch now to book.
- 1. Say your vows in a building with a fascinating history
Our building has a rich history. It played an important role in East End working class culture, first as a Music Hall in the late 19th and early 20th Century, and as a boxing venue from 1955 – 1975. In between, it survived a huge fire in 1904, and two World Wars.
You can get married under the same roof that has seen a Jack the Ripper trial, the Krays Brothers and the arrest of Silvia Pankhurst.
- 2. Take your wedding photos on our gorgeous front steps
You can take photos in the bright Large Committee Room, on the beautiful Committee room staircase and, most popular, on our beautiful stone front steps – we recently had our façade cleaned so they’re extra sparkly. Take a look at some of our previous Wedding images for the perfect inspiration!
- 3. Get married in London’s most vibrant district
Shoreditch Town Hall is one of the grandest former civic buildings in the capital located in the heart of East London. You will have the choice of an amazing variety of venues to move on to for post-ceremony dinner and celebrations right on our doorstep, plus our venue is very well connected being a short walk from Old Street Station and Shoreditch High Street Overground Station, as well as there being a bus stop just outside.
- 4. Shoreditch Town Hall has great value Wedding Packages
You can hold your wedding ceremony at Shoreditch Town Hall for as little as £800 + VAT for a half day hire – perfect for a wedding on a budget! Plus you can make additions as you wish, including post-ceremony drinks and furniture of your choice.
- 5. The Large Committee Room, included in the Wedding Ceremony Packages, is a bright and flexible space
The Large Committee room space is the largest and brightest of our Committee Rooms (all of which are included in our Wedding Ceremony Packages), with a high buttressed ceiling and large windows along its full length giving the room plenty of natural daylight. With its distinctive period features and original Edwardian fireplace, it is ideal for an intimate ceremony for up to 70 guests.
The three adjoining Committee Rooms benefit from being situated in their own separate corridor on the first floor of the building, ensuring privacy and exclusivity for your ceremony. You can also give the ceremony your personal touch by adding your choice of decorations to the space.
You can find full Wedding Ceremony Package information on our website here, or email info@shoreditchtownhall.com to enquire about date availability.
