Jazz FM Awards 2017

We were thrilled to host this year’s annual Jazz FM Awards!

A glittering array of UK and international talent turned out to celebrate the very best of jazz, blues, soul and beyond.

Take a look at the highlights, including appearances from The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison and Laura Mvula!

The Rolling Stones personally accepted the Blues Artist of the Year award and the publicly voted Album of the Year award.

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts was also presented with The Gold Award in recognition of his significant contribution to jazz and blues.

Other highlights from the evening included exclusive live performances from award winners Georgie Fame and Laura Mvula, who sang a memorable live rendition of “The Man I Love” as a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald.

The grandeur of the Assembly Hall made for a unique and beautiful back drop for the awards, while added mood-lighting and effects transformed the space and added to the lively party atmosphere.

Recent additions to the technical infrastructure of the building ensured that everyone looked and sounded fantastic thanks to our in-house production which seamlessly blends our Victorian music hall with the best in modern production.
