Our monthly Town Hall Tea Dance is back and this time with a Festive Special. Put on your festive outfit, join us for a mince pie and dance to your favourite festive tracks as Mr Wonderful starts the festive period off with a bang. Let it Snow: British Youth Music Theatre’s Festive Concert 2024

British Youth Music Theatre returns for their annual festive concert Let It Snow! Head over for an evening of seasonal cheer, filled with favourite songs from the company’s shows and festive classics. History Tour
14 December
Our last History Tour of 2024 takes you through the history behind our Grade II listed building. you’ll get a chance to visit spaces that are never usually open to the public, learn about the architecture & design of the building, and how its use has developed over the years from a municipal building that opened in 1866 to the leading arts venue it is today. Coney Rehearsals
16 – 20 December
Coney are back at with us, following the hugely successful run of 1884 earlier this year. Using interactive experiences, games and adventures Coney works with schools, heritage sites, workplaces, theatres and more in the hope to inspire community action. They will be rehearsing their latest project with us, which looks at youth work and climate justice.
Theatre Re: Birth Rehearsals
16 – 20 December
Long-time Shoreditch Town Hall favourites, Theatre Re are rehearsing their show BIRTH before its international tour. BIRTH explores pregnancy loss and how it is often considered as taboo. Following the intergenerational story of three women, whose lives are part of an invisible web they help to weave. This story of self-discovery, acceptance and hope had its world premiere at Shoreditch Town Hall in 2019 as a part of MimeLondon.
Local Lounge
Throughout December, we’re housing a variety of grassroots organisations, charities and non-for-profits for free as part of our Local Lounge project. These include: Queertopia Consortium, a Social Founders and Hackney Impact event, the Stroke Survivors Group, the charity Carers First and Kava Therapy Workshops. Plus Local Lounge regulars Cut Out Club, are putting on a free festive crafting session on Saturday 14 December. Book your space by clicking here.
Artist Workspace

Our Made in Shoreditch: Artist Workspace initiative continues this month as we support artist development and the creation of new live performance. You can book a desk space for a day or week at a time, benefiting from a dedicated and safe communal working environment, interaction with other artists, and advice sessions with Town Hall staff. Theatre Re: Monthly Training Classes

Occurring monthly since September 2021, Theatre Re‘s Sunday professional classes aim to support professional, semi-professional, recent graduates and performers-in-training in their regular practice with monthly day-long training sessions with a community of like-minded creatives – Led by Theatre Re Director Guillaume Pigé and other members of the company.
