Supporting our local and artistic community

Good Chance Workshops
Throughout November

In a world of entrenching polarisation, Good Chance creates art that shatters stereotypes and inspires connection. They create groundbreaking, heart-thumping “theatre that shakes hands with the world”, with displaced artists centre-stage. They joined us back in February to continue devising From Here On, their new, international piece of world-class physical theatre with Gecko Theatre about children’s right to safety, whoever they are, wherever they are from. Marking the 85th anniversary of the Kindertransport, created with over 200 young people and performed in public spaces across the UK and Europe, From Here On is a hopeful cry for empathy and action for displaced young people today. Since the public performances in London Liverpool St. in September, Good Chance have continued working with the local young people to become change makers in their own communities, gathering at Shoreditch Town Hall each week to produce their own advocacy event for Compass Collective’s Midwinter Music Marathon at the Jago in Dalston on Sunday 15th December. Find out more about From Here On by clicking here.

Local Lounge

Throughout November our Local Lounge is open, offering Hackney-based grassroots organisations, charities, non-for-profits and creative individuals the opportunity to utilise our Front Room space for FREE for events that benefit the local community. The space can be used for meetings, social events, creative workshops, training sessions and more. Find out more by clicking here.

Artist Workspace
Ongoing

Our Made in Shoreditch: Artist Workspace initiative continues this month as we support artist development and the creation of new live performance. You can book a desk space for a day or week at a time, benefiting from a dedicated and safe communal working environment, interaction with other artists, and advice sessions with Town Hall staff. Find out more and book a desk by clicking here.

Looking for something more permanent? We currently have a vacant office available for long-term hire. The space is unfurnished and ready to make your own, so you can be a part of our dynamic, creative community. Find out more by clicking here.
