HighRise Theatre have launched their new associate company for young artists aged 16-27 years, New Gens.

HighRise Theatre have built a strong reputation as makers of innovative and exceptional theatre. Recent credits include Lil.Miss.Lady (a grime theatre rave starring Lady Lykez) and The UK Drill Project, an immersive theatre show exploring drill music and culture in the UK.

New Gens offers free training, performance opportunities, support to explore future pathways in the arts (music and theatre specifically) and create industry connections.

The first phase of New Gens will run at Shoreditch Town Hall ran every Thursday from January 2020.

Young people that have worked with HighRise theatre previously have:

• gained employment within theatre, music and the creative industries
• performed in professional theatre productions at high profile venues including The Roundhouse in Camden
• worked with established theatre/music producers and recording artists

Young people accepted onto the New Gens programme, work with HighRise Theatre to form a new young associate arts collective, working every Thursday 6pm-9pm.
