Evanna Lynch earned the love of millions of fans around the world through her talented portrayal of the quirky misfit Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films.
Now, join the activist and actor for this exclusive live event, as she celebrates the publication of her debut book, The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting.
Live in conversation, Evanna will discuss the growing up on screen, the messiness of adulthood, and her battle between perfection and creativity. Delving into the very heart of a woman's relationship with her own body, she will sensitively explore how she overcame an eating disorder and confronted the wild, sensual and unpredictable reality of womanhood, all whilst being in the glare of the spotlight of international fame.
Evanna will also share stories from her acting career – her experience on set of the Harry Potter films, being starstruck by her co-workers, and the now almost mythic tale of how she got cast in the role after becoming pen-pals with JK Rowling – revealing pivotal moments and choices in her life that led her down the path of creativity and away from the empty pursuit of perfection.
This promises to be an entertaining and compelling evening, as Evanna confronts all the complexities and contradictions within herself – a story of the tragedy and the glory of growing up, of mourning girlhood and stepping into the unknown, and how that act of courage is the most creatively liberating thing a woman can do.
Each ticket includes a copy of Evanna's new book The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting (RRP £20.00)
