Emmy the Great is headed to Shoreditch Town Hall for one night only to perform a selection of old favourites and new songs – Song Cycle for an Integrated Self – commissioned as part of Kakilang Festival.

Join Emmy as she uses sound and song to explore her Hong Kong past and her British present, and take part in an evening of transformation and she moves into a new artist identity. The show will be immersive, warm and intimate, breaking down barriers between audience and performer, and playing with the power of sound to spark time travel.

Emmy will be supported by Hong Kong British artist mui zyu [pronounced ”moy joo”], whose sound merges fantasy and folklore to create a stage for self-acceptance and deliverance.
