Throughout the Town Hall the motto ‘More Light, More Power’ can be seen on our crest. This, together with the statue of Progress at the bottom of our tower, symbolises the Town Hall’s original and continued reputation for pioneering bold ideas. Visit the Town Hall’s dedicated history website for more information on our building’s incredible 150-year life so far.
