Winner of Top of The Slops Season 3 Fanny Bleach debuts her hotly anticipated solo comedy performance as a part of Summer in The Ditch 2026!

This subversive, silly and surprisingly endearing tour through the disgusting and depraved, blends immersive monologues, physical theatre, shock humour and rapid-fire character comedy to reclaim the female body in all its gory glory. 

The Nearly Naked Show sees cult drag-thing, comedian and performance artist Fanny Bleach introduce the weird and unusual characters that inhabit the creepiest crevices of her mind. Highly relatable mundane realities are twisted into surreal nightmares filled with bodily mutation, deviant behaviour, bad hags, and kidney-harvesting call centre workers. 

Beneath the interactive twists, vulgarity, and physical comedy lies a profound act of defiance. The Nearly Naked Show emerged from Bleach’s experiences navigating the imbalances of power that often shape women’s early careers in acting and her own questionable experiences at drama school. Built as a way to reclaim control, the show allows her to call the shots, fully own her autonomy, and channel her rage filled of guts and glitter into a playful, ridiculous and fantastical freak show that makes people laugh.

OPEN MIC

We'll be hosting an Open Mic on Saturday 11 July in our bar to celebrate the opening week of Summer in The Ditch 2026. If you want to try out some quick material, sing a ballad or show us your close up magic skills, then pop by with your tap shoes. MC'd by our very own Helen Highwater. 8.30pm - 9pm, booking isn't required, just turn up.

Following the success of our annual artist takeover, Summer in The Ditch returns for a third year to showcase a dynamic mix of camp, queer, and cult work in our basement space.

With experimental new work, and rough and ready sessions from artists, ventriloquists, singers and performers, anything can happen and the unexpected is always welcome.
