Those who have booked for Revealing The Mask with Vamos Theatre can expect an email from Shoreditch Town Hall with any information you should know ahead of the workshop on Thursday 26 January.

Vamos Theatre, the UK's leading full mask theatre company, is holding a one-off talent development workshop as part of London International Mime Festival 2023.

Co-delivered by Vamos Theatre’s Artistic Director Rachael Savage and Creative Producer Honor Hoskins, Revealing the Mask Residency is a 2-day workshop for everyone, especially actors, performers and theatre practitioners. This creative, high energy and inspiring session will give participants a thorough introduction to full mask technique.

Through exercises and shared exploration, the workshop introduces mask characterisation, mask physicality, and techniques such as clocking, stillness and isolation, helping to build confidence and understanding of mask performance. More advanced full mask skills and a deeper understanding of the form will also be covered, exploring devising both individually, and as a mask ensemble.
