London’s greatest comedy festival returns for its 11th edition, better than ever!
ARGComFest brings the very best Fringe previews and work-in-progress comedy shows to east London every summer, cramming over sixty comedians into intimate spaces perfect for comedy.
We sell day or weekend tickets with audience members free to move between venues, seeing whichever acts they like — just like a music festival. So you buy one, excellent value ticket and get access to a whole weekend of comedy!
This year’s weekend programme features an array of Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees and winners such as Nish Kumar, Sara Pascoe, Mark Watson, Larry Dean, Ania Magliano, Jordan Brookes, Lauren Pattison, Colin Hoult, Olga Koch, Tom Ballard, Sara Barron, Steen Raskopoulos, Amy Gledhill, Ian Smith, and Paddy Young.
Chloe Petts brings her trademark laddishness; Rob Auton has a new show about eyes; Rachel Fairburn is back with seven deadly characters; Harriett Kemsley tries to rebuild her life; and Celya AB tackles the big three: beauty, money and the void.
Comedy’s angriest optimist Garrett Millerick explores space travel; Erika Ehler navigates the disturbing reality of what it’s like to be young, hot and yet so alone; Nic Sampson invites you to a never-before-attempted Power Rangers season 14 cast reunion; critically-acclaimed, nightie-clad sketch-zealots Tarot return; and Lou Wall is the first EVER comedian to write a show about heartbreak.
Taskmaster New Zealand star Paul Williams talks about discovering a used-up roll of film in a second-hand film camera; Micky Overman contemplates love, the art of gift giving and Ozzy Osbourne; Milo Edwards talks about class, Britain, common decency and cum; and award-winning, working-class queer comedian Sian Davies doesn’t regret a thing — or does she?
Laura Davis returns with rapid-fire stand-up that journeys through nature, empires, lighthouse keeping, existentialism, birdwatching and haunted microwaves; the “almost sexily cerebral” (Telegraph) Alex Kealy presents a show about fear; “Extraordinary talent” (Guardian) Josh Glanc is back with a brand-new show; and trans girl Alex Franklin brings her ludicrous, musical, chaotic, joyful show about feeling the most alive she’s ever felt.
Josephine Lacey explores the relationship between her and her autistic son with visual aids, balloons, and heartwarming insight; Palestinian comedian Sami Abu-Wardeh follows up his first show (The Guardian's top 10 comedy shows of 2022) with an angry, political clowning show; Alexandra Haddow tries to find a bit of hope in the chaos; John Tothill was visited by a series of terrible plagues and is desperate to tell you all about it; Jo Griffin is determined to max the fun while the biological clock ticks fast; and MOTH Club regular host Ray Badran would really love it if you came and laughed non-stop the whole way through his show.
Last year Stuart Laws started telling the truth on stage and was diagnosed autistic, now he’s back and at the top of his game; Andrew Doherty presents his sticky, spooky horror comedy Gay Witch Sex Cult (a sex cult for gay witches); and after spending her life battling immigrant and capitalist pressure to succeed from her Desi-British-American background, Kiran Saggu wonders if she needs to get her ass up and work?
Plus exciting debuts: Dan Wye (Séayoncé) explores the power and joy in your identity and the absurd reality of it being taken away by someone with four Brit awards; Abby Wambaugh presents her best 17 ideas for her highly anticipated show; deadpan Brummie scumbag Tal Davies presents embarrassing tales of woe, witty observations and insights into her life as a fun-time gal with a penchant for weird little critters; and Dee Allum reconciles with the past, coming out and going through two puberties (frankly, two too many).
The weekend’s fantastic hosts include Alison Spittle, Joz Norris, Lulu Popplewell, Alice India, Ben Pope, Lachlan Werner, Nathaniel Metcalfe, Richard Sandling, Ruby Carr, Saima Ferdows and Sam Nicoresti.
