Did you know we are a charity? Since its opening in 1866, Shoreditch Town Hall has witnessed everything from Victorian reform and Sylvia Pankhurst’s activism, to vibrant boxing matches, and the electrifying Whirl-Y-Gigs in the 90s. Each era has left its mark on this iconic building to make it the creative venue it is today, and now it’s our turn to care for its future.

“I want you to believe...to believe in things that you cannot.”Bram Stoker

You have been chosen and we thank you for your sacrifice. In return we offer you the opportunity of immortality - but there are conditions. You could, of course, wait to see what the future might bring. You could take your chances on a cure for ageing and death. The cure is coming - but it is not coming fast enough for you.

Experienced lying down in a bed, ETERNAL explores the quandary of eternal life and wonders what price you would settle for to achieve it.

ETERNAL is a solo experience for only 10 audience members at a time.

ETERNAL was part of Season One of the DARKFIELD RADIO digital project and was commissioned by Bram Stoker Festival. It has also run as a physical installation at Centre Phi in Montreal, Luxembourg City Film Festival, Wales Millenium Centre in Cardiff and as part of the official selection at Belfast XR Festival.

The Ditch Bar

The bar will be open from 5pm each weekday and from 12pm on Saturdays, until 10.30pm, welcoming everyone - even if you don't have a ticket.

Want to soak up the atmosphere of The Ditch in your own way? Bring your own board game (BYOB[oard game]!) and enjoy a relaxed evening of games, drinks, and the unique energy of DARKFIELD.

DARKFIELD RADIO launched to critical acclaim: the project was an app delivering 360 degree immersive audio experiences to audiences at home, immersing audiences in strange and curious worlds, bringing new meaning to the familiar spaces we inhabit. The pieces have featured in major film festivals such as Venice International Film Festival, IDFA, Raindance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, Kaohsiung Film Festival and others, and also won Columbia’s Digital Storytelling Lab’s Breakthrough Award in 2021, in recognition of the year’s most innovative narrative. Now the shows tour as physical installations, to venues and festivals worldwide.
