Did you know we are a charity? Since its opening in 1866, Shoreditch Town Hall has witnessed everything from Victorian reform and Sylvia Pankhurst’s activism, to vibrant boxing matches, and the electrifying Whirl-Y-Gigs in the 90s. Each era has left its mark on this iconic building to make it the creative venue it is today, and now it’s our turn to care for its future. Click here to find out more and donate
Come and get your monthly Theatre Re fix! Theatre Re's monthly Sunday professional classes are continuing in 2025 at Shoreditch Town Hall.
Rooted in Theatre Re’s training and creative process, sessions will focus on conditioning the body in preparation for: rigorous training, Corporeal Mime repertoire and technique, as well as improvisation and composition inspired by the company’s current projects.
Whether you are a seasoned professional performer wanting to enhance your physical presence and the specificity of your actions on stage, a newcomer to the theatre looking for a specific technique to ground your explorations, or an artist in need of a fresh approach to making, participants will develop their skills and creativity in an open, playful and generous environment.
Sessions will be led by Guillaume Pigé (Theatre Re Director and RADA Associate Teacher) and Claudia Marciano (Theatre Re Performer and Teacher). No previous experience in Corporeal Mime is needed to join, only your curiosity, playfulness and desire to learn! All sessions will focus on different aspects of Theatre Re’s work and can be taken independently or as a whole.
"The Monthly Sessions helped me expand my creativity and improve my area of work. Learning different techniques to work with body, movement and imagination was eye opening."

Feedback from Workshop Participant 2024
"I had no idea what to expect. It was all new, useful, and challenging."
Feedback from Workshop Participant 2024
"The session was shaped following everyone’s needs and things we shared at the start of the session, which was really helpful. It was great to learn the logistics and stories behind the technique. Very specific advice and feedback to each participant was also something great to get."

Theatre Re is one of the UK’s leading visual theatre companies. Their work combines original live music with striking visual theatre to create world class, deeply moving non-verbal productions about universal human challenges and the fragility of life. They engage with audiences locally, nationally and internationally to create, share and promote life-changing theatre that is both inventive and accessible through cross-arts and cross-sector collaboration.
They are an artist-led company based at The Point in Eastleigh with a strong 11-year track record: six mid-scale productions, extensive touring in the UK (78 venues in 44 cities) and internationally (15 countries across 3 continents) - including a Broadway transfer, international licensing of their repertoire and sold-out runs at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the Cerventino Festival (Mexico), and London International Mime Festival.
Their training programme is in high demand across world with long-term partners such the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Partnerships with community organisations throughout the creation process and while on tour are central to their work.
