Creative Lab is a series of workshops for emerging artists to discover new ways to create and remix their practice, from exploring physical language and movement tools, to acting, film, music, technology, site specific, participatory performance, visual art, and augmented reality.

The workshops will take place in partnership with Shoreditch Town Hall in the labyrinthian basement settings of The Ditch, giving you the exciting opportunity to respond and create in this unique environment.

You can take part in any number of the 6 workshops, with an additional opportunity for groups or individuals to create a piece of live art, and share in a scratch performance for family and friends in December.

The workshops will be led by leading industry professionals, and are open to emerging artists, or artists looking to change their practice, from all backgrounds and ethnicities, though we highly encourage artists with East and South East Asian heritage to apply.

The workshops will take place once a month from July to December 2022, and includes an additional opportunity to take part in a Development Period from the 7-10 December, with an invite-only sharing performance on the 10 December 2022.  Full schedule below.

HOW IT WORKS

All access passes to the workshops are £10. You will need to register to apply for the workshops using the "BOOK NOW" button above. Once your registration form is accepted, you will receive an email from the Kakilang team with a priority booking password. You can then visit the Access Pass Booking page to book a ticket, which will give you access to any/all sessions. Your ticket will have the date 6 December, indicating it's valid for sessions until that date.
