In line with Government guidance, performances of CASTE-ING are still scheduled to go ahead as planned.
Produced by Nouveau Riche and written by Nicole Acquah, CASTE-ING explores the experiences of three black actresses using beatboxing, rap, song and spoken word.
"The trio are a delight, their onstage chemistry utterly striking... a truly affirming watch" - FestMag
"Full of energy and brightness... A thought-provoking, energetic hour" - Musical Theatre Reviews
CASTE-ING is an entertaining and rhythmic showcase of the realities, structures and pressures of the acting industry, and how black women navigate these situations. Watch them as they attempt to maintain their sense of self, their faith, friendships and of course, careers.
How can they remain true to their values in an industry seemingly intent on pitting them against each other? What do they do when the pressures become too much?
"A sharp satiric edge... and a terrific beat-boxing section" - Lyn Gardner
We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone in the building. Whilst at the Town Hall you must abide by all Covid-19 Safety Measures in place, which you can find here.
