Meadow Rain would like to say sorry.
Sorry for disappearing.
Sorry for being a bad friend.
And sorry for calling her best friend a rude word.
She’s also sorry for keeping secrets. Secrets about Terry. Secrets she is now ready to reveal…
Blending storytelling and movement with gentle audience interaction and comedy, Everything I Didn’t Say is a story of community and togetherness that seeks to change perceptions of what a victim can look like. This funny 'subtle sucker-punch of a show' (**** The List) is brought to you by award-winning creators of fringe sell-out show So It Goes, made with support from Shoreditch Town Hall, Blue Elephant Theatre and UK SAYS NO MORE, a campaign to change the societal narrative towards Domestic Abuse.
The performance on Friday 25 March will be followed by a post-show discussion to delve deeper into the themes of the piece with the writer and performer Hannah Moss, a representative from UK Says No More - a nationwide awareness campaign, launched by Hestia and NO MORE, committed to ending Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in the UK - and Dr Sarah Pemberton who is the Associate Professor in Criminology and Acting Head of Department for Criminology and Sociology at Birmingham City University. Her research is concerned with understanding and contextualizing domestic and sexual violence with areas of expertise in: Sexual offending, Sexual consent, refusal and coercion, Domestic abuse and coercive control.
