Join Theatre Re for their Advanced Summer Intensive, designed for professional and semi-professional performers with previous training in Corporeal Mime.

Participants will refine and build on their Corporeal Mime skills to immerse in Theatre Re’s way of sculpting and breathing life into intricate, inventive and thought-provoking visual and physical work. Looking at the articulation of space, body and weight, dynamorhythms, and counterweights, participants will enhance their performance skills, develop their taste for non-naturalistic work, and push the boundaries of what theatre, without a playwright, can do.

This 5-day workshop is designed for professional and semi-professional performers, actors and dancers as well as visual artists, students and recent graduates aged 18+.

How To Book

Previous experience of Corporeal Mime is required to join. Please send details of previous training to Claudia Marciano: theatrere.participation@gmail.com to be offered a place in the workshop and further details about how to book. Please note, although the booking page indicates “online booking for this event opens on 21 Jul 2023” you can still enter your priority booking code provided by Claudia to unlock tickets.

If you are not eligible to take part in this particular workshop, Theatre Re also offer other training opportunities throughout the year. You can find out more by clicking here.

About Theatre Re

Theatre Re is one of the UK’s leading visual theatre companies. Their work combines original live music with striking visual theatre to create world class, deeply moving non-verbal productions about universal human challenges and the fragility of life. They engage with audiences locally, nationally and internationally to create, share and promote life-changing theatre that is both inventive and accessible through cross-arts and cross-sector collaboration.

They are an artist-led company based at The Point in Eastleigh with a strong 11-year track record: six mid-scale productions, extensive touring in the UK (78 venues in 44 cities) and internationally (15 countries across 3 continents) - including a Broadway transfer, international licensing of their repertoire and sold-out runs at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the Cerventino Festival (Mexico), and London International Mime Festival.

Their training programme is in high demand across world with long-term partners such the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Partnerships with community organisations throughout the creation process and while on tour are central to their work.
